Our London Home Inspector

Ryan Bowering is a fully qualified, fully insured home and WETT inspector (Wood Energy Technology Transfer) and Certified Energy Advisor, offering objective and thorough home inspections, Tarion/new construction inspections, and WETT inspections at very competitive and reasonable rates in London and many locations throughout SW Ontario. He is covered by errors and omissions insurance, as well as general liability insurance.

As a Registered Home Inspector (RHI) with the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors (OAHI) and the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (CAHPI), Ryan adheres to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics set out by these two government-sanctioned organizations that provide oversight of their members in the home inspection industry. This includes attending mandatory training annually, where he must obtain at least twenty CEU’s (continuing education units) per year.

Ryan is also a WETT Certified: SITE Basic Inspector – offering inspections of your wood-burning systems for insurance purposes. As a member of WETT Inc., he complies with the Code of Ethics set out by the organization, as well as completing courses in the WETT continuing education series, as required to maintain membership standards.

He also has experience as a Certified Energy Advisor (CEA), having performed over 1,000 energy audits, allowing him to offer informed suggestions on how to make your home more energy efficient.

Education Details

While Ryan has been performing home inspections in London and SW Ontario since 2006, he has years of construction and demolition experience, a good foundation for the home inspection industry.

Having received his Ontario College Diploma in recognition of his successful achievement of the requirements through Fanshawe College to become a Construction Engineering Technician – Supervisor, Ryan followed this with the successful completion of the Humber College Home Inspection Program, the Ontario Building Code Program, and the OAHI Defect Recognition and Reporting Course.

Early in 2009, Ryan completed training to become a Certified Energy Advisor, and has since earned certification through WETT Inc., qualifying him to inspect wood-burning systems. In 2018, he received certification for New Construction Inspections (i.e. Tarion warranty inspections), allowing him to inspect new builds (Pre-Delivery Inspections {PDI's} and beyond). As stated, he continues to upgrade his knowledge annually – with training through OAHI and WETT Inc.
